A few comments on your so called ‘School of Rock’ music edition of The Bulletin (23 January 2007).
First of all, Jimmy Barnes and The Veronicas - that ain’t rock. And second, is this the only ticket for women to get on the cover of a rock n’ roll issue? To be kissing a male has-been (and not even exclusively, they’re sharing Barnesy in some kind of groupie reference - eww)? What exactly is this School of Rock (Mediocrity) of which you speak?
Do women contribute nothing more to Australian rock music? I see that women certainly won’t be getting a ticket through your Top 25 Australian Albums list, as compiled by Jimmy Barnes which features NOT A SINGLE FEMALE artist.
Yeah, rock on.
What about the possibility of pulling out of Iraq, letting Iran invade and lose resources fighting their own kind,
and then come in and mop up the dregs?
