The 54th Carnival of Feminists is being hosted this time around by In a strange land; a blog I enjoy muchly, which is run by a New Zealand feminist mother smarty-pants. The Carnival of Feminists – current, contentious, conversational; just like a feminist magazine, only free. And one of mine is in there too.
This week I also caught the eye of Crikey with this post and I totally blushed with pleasure.
And you totally deserved front and centre in that Crikey roundup. There’s a super special frostyflake down the bottom: ” This is a serious conference, they’re not talking about hairspray, or tampons.”
Gotta love all the ningbats whining that calls for attention to reasonable representation are sexist.

Thank you! I count that as a compliment.
Actually, we have moved to Australia, and I have been living in Adelaide for two months now, but I still very much identify with NZ – unavoidable, I suppose. I’m developing a mid-Tasman identity, neither here nor there, and I still don’t feel as though I am living in Australia. I think I have fetched up on a Tasman Sea islet, and not even something as big as Ball’s Pyramid. Probably one of those small rocky islets which barely breaks the surface, which would account for my constant sense of floundering.
