The price of a Senate vote in Australia is some women’s lives (67,000 or so), some other women’s bodies (round about 5 million), and lots of women’s choices ..although you might get some change left over, with the exchange rate and all, because we’re talking about women from developing countries.
This is obscene. Enough, Rudd Government.

I really dig the notion of intuitive eating for kids (ie. chill.. if not interfered with we actually know what we need to eat, how much, and when, at any age), which is discussed in this piece, Grow up already from Shapely Prose. (I also really dig the word “dig”, I’m doing my bit to [...]

Is there anything cuter than the shrieks a kid make when you hose them? Even you sad sack child haters get to participate in this particular joy of life, cos you get to hose a kid, something you wouldn’t be adverse to doing I’m sure.

Saw a brief video of an orgasmic birth recently and I couldn’t help but wince with ick when they interviewed the goofy partner of the orgasmic birther, who claimed “making out” was an opportunity no man would ever turn down, not even during labour. Ah, what? You’ve got to be kidding me. What kind of [...]

We had a one-on-one birth refresher course and during this session we discovered that I am still very much freaked out by my previous birth experience. Tears strained at my eyes. It has been almost four years since my long, painful posterior labour followed by a hemorrhage and I thought I’d moved on a little [...]

Shelley is about to admit to one of the great taboos of motherhood. No matter how hard she has tried, she says she can’t bring herself to love her elder daughter, Catherine. ‘I know what people will think. Everyone will hate me. I’m the woman who doesn’t like her own child. But I’m speaking out [...]

God, I am so sick of my Did porn kill sex? post leading my Top Posts list all the time. Enough. It is not even much of a post. All the damn porn Googlers are distorting my stats by clicking on this stupid post. Porn seekers, it is just a recommendation for a Naomi Wolf [...]
