(Or ‘Make friends, have babies’?)
We met at a park with our first babies and the fact that our children all play well together has since crossed over to being a happy bonus because the basis of our friendship is now very much her and I. So yeah, we meet at wine bars and leave the kids at home with their fathers. We adore one another.
But, the kids really do play well together, I must say.
P.S. Yes, I know they’re blurry shots of the kids but I forgot to ask my friend if she is cool with photos of her kids on my site so I chose these ones as a safe bet.

Isn’t it so good when they get along??? My 4 year old has a friend over the other day and they played happily for 7 hours on saturday!! without a single incident, it is so great. And I really like her mum too!
I have always been afraid that the opposite might happen if/when I had chill’uns – I would have babies and somehow make enemies (ie, my kiddo would hit another kiddo, thus making an enemy out of kiddo No. 2′s mum, or maybe I’d let my kiddo do X, but my friend would not, and then some sort of ideological argument would ensue). But! I do recall my single father-friend saying that the tot park was a great place to meet ladies, I assume it would be the same for making friends!
The opposite has indeed happened, good point.
