Motherhood needs much more politics. Kudos to the Circle of Moms for promoting political bloggers within the ‘mother bloggers’ set, and given that their editorial staff nominated me and a bunch of other feminist bloggers to their Top 25 – The Mamafesto, The Radical Housewife, Jessica Valenti, The Feminist Breeder, Pundit Mom, Working Moms Break, Mamapundit and Viva la Feminista – I have to also say a big Brava! to them for making sure feminist motherhood gets recognition. In fact, last year when the votes were finally counted their top four winners were all feminist mothers. Fringe group, indeed.
In the tradition of all good elections (particularly those on the Internet) my advice is to vote early and vote often.. and also, to vote for me or another favourite feminist blogger on that list.. but mostly for me. You can vote every 24 hours right up until 4 April 2012. Chomp down that click bait, I’m counting on you.

A click moment!
Voted for you.
You’re doing well! I’ve voted and I’ll vote daily
Thank yooooou.
I tried to vote at work but was blocked by WebMarshal because of “URLFilter-Block-SocialNetworking_Gaming’”.
Sigh.
Will just have to wait until I get home.
Voted for you too (twice).
you have my vote – good luck!
I’ve been voting daily! Congratulations on reaching number two! I will keep voting for you. I love love love what you have to say.
This is my budding blog

Holy moly, thank you everybody, very kind – I’m consistently up in the top three.
You’re rocking it. Well deserved!
I’ve been voting as often as I remember, which is most days. Suddenly, out of the top 20 blogs, only 5 do not describe themselves as conservative, or as ‘defenders of American exceptionalism’ which I think amounts to the same thing. Now it may just be that ‘Moms 4 Sarah Palin’ is one terrific parenting and political blog – I haven’t read it. But I am feeling rather suspicious of the sudden surge for the conservatives and want to urge everyone here to vote and vote again for bluemilk and, while you’re there, maybe throw a bone to the other lefty blogs including Monologues of Dissent which is hanging onto top spot by only a few votes.
voting every day, but also very confused as to why some all of a sudden have 3000+ votes. hmmmmm. we know you’re the best.
Jennifer: It’s being posted around at the huge rabid-theocon USAn sites that have nothing to do with mothering, like Free Republic. Hence the vote jump – they don’t give a shit about the actual topic, they just can’t bear that the “commies” might win something.
