Oh gods it’s just so hideous to see this: “Oh, you think you like X, but really you like Y. Well maybe not now, but you will, just wait. You’ll *love* this.” GAH GAH GAH. How hard is it to accept that children have their own preferences? (Or, you know, people generally? It’s not so different to how women are always told they’ll want kids eventually, and better not make any decisions now that might affect that theoretical future desire, even if they swear blind they do NOT want kids EVER.)
