This blog, Lactation Journey has been a fascinating find for me. I love what the writer is doing over there in promoting an anti-racism breastfeeding community. Among the gems she offers up – a hip hop breastfeeding song. And this wonderful post on how individualism is entirely misplaced in the pro-breastfeeding message. And also, addressing white privilege in breastfeeding communities.

Really love the link to the article about how breastfeeding isn’t about individualism (individual choice, determination etc). Speaking as someone who only managed to keep breastfeeding through the incredible support and knowledge of the women at the John Radcliffe’s Breastfeeding Clinic (shout out to Sally Inch and Chloe Fisher) here in Oxford not to mention my paid maternity leave that gave me the time and space to commit to it, I can see so clearly how breastfeeding is connected to privilege (whether it be privilege through knowledge, money, location or whatever).
Oh, so I say something you disagree with and all of a sudden I’m labelled as a troll? You feminists are so narrow minded. Your heads are shoved so far up your own cunts you can’t see any view point but your own. Show me a lesbian, vegan, activist or a disgruntled pregnant women and I bet you, they’ll be a raging feminist. It’s like a disease that needs to be wiped out.
Are you sure you haven’t inadvertently described yourself there lana?
I’m keeping this comment because it’s accidentally funny.. but be warned, lana, the rest of your comments of this nature will be deleted like your last.
