This is Christmas in the sub-tropics in Australia..
I love to see what December looks like in your part of the world (particularly if it includes snow), so if you care to, leave a link to your own December photos in the comment section.
Lauca and Cormac meet their new cousin, my sister’s first baby.
In the hospital room with my sister and brother-in-law.
Cold Greek yoghurt and cucumber soup. Most of the ingredients were grown in the garden.
Lunch on the deck for my friend and I. (All our children screamed simultaneously the entire time in the background. We drank champagne and stopped caring).
One of the gifts my brother gave to the kids for Christmas – cardboard moneyboxes.
Lauca and my friend’s daughter talking on a picnic rug in a park.
Lauca in the local rainforest.
Bush-walking with my kids and my friend’s kids.
Tree-climbing fallen trees.
Cormac doing Christmas morning dancing.
Lauca during breakfast at home on Christmas morning. (We’re a ‘sunglasses at the table’ kind of glamour family).
Christmas lunch at my sister’s.
Counting baby toes in matching reindeer t-shirts.
Baby cousin.
Cormac on my sister’s back steps.
Boxing Day BBQ. Cool enough weather to be drinking red wine in a mug.
My aunt taught me to crack a stock whip and then she taught the kids how to use a bow and arrow.
Creek walking.
Lauca building a bridge.
Cormac stamping in puddles.
Me, earlier this month.
This is what December has looked like previous years: here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and here.

Just a few from Christmas Eve and Day! Not much snow…but some ice! http://overseastrapeze.wordpress.com/2012/12/25/merry-christmas/
You are lucky lucky lucky!!
Haven’t any pics I can share I’m afraid but the inlaws in central Vic and my sisters near Bunyip forest are where we enjoyed our food and family. Glorious weather, many hands for our new bub and lovely company. A great holiday season.
Gorgeous Queenslander house!

Link to my December.
Can I just say how jealous I am of your nice warm weather. I would so love to be wearing shorts instead of layers.
Personally, I would give anything for a white Christmas experience. Thanks Renee for your continued enthusiasm.
Here is Boo’s first snow in Vancouver BC, Merry Christmas

Thanks everyone for the lovely December photo links. xx
What a wonderful December you have had. I hope 2013 is everything you hope it to be.
Oh my, your photos of December are beautiful! Thank you so much for sharing
I wish I had some to share in turn
Love these images.
I feel like I’ve forgotten what summer is like… thanks for reminding me of summer newborns, walking without shoes & that bright thing in the sky that means we have to wear sunglasses.
December in Vancouver has been typical–temperatures in the single digits Celsius, lots of rain, a tiny bit of snow (only about 10cm, lasting for a few days). It looks like this, mostly: http://thesprog.blogspot.ca/2012/12/mostly-wordless-wednesday.html
Thanks for the inspiration and lovely shots. Here is Tuscany in December! http://www.mapleleafmamma.com/2013/01/december-in-tuscany/
