Aww nostalgia. I heard that old blue milk myth again (sometimes the story changes to ‘green milk’), it was in the context of being given ‘advice’ for New Year’s Eve. You know, in case I was considering drinking alcohol and endangering my precious, precious baby. I didn’t correct them. I couldn’t be bothered, we’d already disagreed on so much.
It is alive.. and still spreading misinformation

Awww, good times!
It really is amazing how much crap is out there in the world about breastfeeding. If there was that much information about, say, the basic functioning of skin, I reckon we’d get a whole lot more in the way of federal information campaigning.
There kind of is: “And if you masturbate, hair will grow on the palms of your hands!”
This ‘alcohol => blue milk’ myth doesn’t seem to be from my region. Around here, ‘blue milk’ was skim milk, when it first came on the market. The phrase was used disapprovingly to point out its lack of creaminess.
“I didn’t correct them. I couldn’t be bothered, we’d already disagreed on so much.”
Sounds like the type of conversations that I have with one of my sisters. I love her very much, but her judgment can be frustrating.
