InCultureParent is an online magazine for parents raising little global citizens. Centered on global parent culture and traditions, we feature articles on parenting around the world and raising multicultural and multilingual (also bicultural and bilingual) children. We spotlight two global holidays and traditions per month together with craft ideas for kids and recipes. We also highlight good books for kids that have a multicultural theme or feature different cultures. Where possible, we showcase books related to the featured global celebrations.
Mainstream parenting websites are largely from the perspective of one dominant cultural framework. InCultureParent offers an alternative to the dominant voice of parenting information with viewpoints from around the world. Culture informs parenting choices, priorities and values. Additionally, tradition and religion become more relevant when children enter the picture. InCultureParent blends culture, language and tradition and presents articles on everything related to these areas.
We publish new articles on the first of each month, with columns and blogs updated throughout the month. We aim to be bimonthly as our magazine grows.
