The walk of shame these days is the one I do jog-walking late to the classroom with my daughter eating her breakfast out of a paper bag. “This is terrible,” I apologise to her. She reassures me, “It is ok Mum, we were just very busy this morning. I had to play with my guinea pigs and you were…”. She searches for something in my defence. Well, I was busy trying to buy a Sarah Maple photograph on-line. (I had just discovered that Maple was selling some ‘seconds’ at cost).

The ‘toast bag’ is well known in this house. We have in the past pulled a sleeping child out of bed, dressed her, and delivered her still half asleep with toast bag to daycare. Parent of the Year can’t be far away…
Love it, about two weeks ago we arrived at child care after minimal breakky only to find cc were not 15 minutes late with morning tea as usual but on time, faced with the thought of Sherbet getting hungry before lunch i grabbed three pieces of toast of the trundling cart and handed them to Sherbet copping a disapproving glare from the relevant worker.
