Why is sexism still a problem and what do we need to do to change it? Myself and a couple of others will be discussing this on 612 ABC radio on Monday morning at about 10.30am. (If you like to listen then I like to talk).

I do like to listen to you on the radio! Will tune in.
Very good. Now I wish they would remove from radio all the people who are giving such thorough practical demonstrations of sexism. Hope the ABC share your program in other towns.
Just listened to this segment. How annoying that Steve Austin kept insisting that good role models would be women who ignore sexism and “just get on with it”. Well handled though Andie!
I particularly liked your analysis of Julia Gillard’s misogyny speech: that we all understood why she had not said anything until that point, and then were intensely relieved when she finally did.
Yes! I was hoping he wouldn’t say anything like that but why am I not surprised? I have switched to Radio National in the mornings because I find Steve Austin insufferable.
Really bugs me too that people assume that because they haven’t had a problem with sexism, therefore it does not exist. The other woman (Kate I think her name was) really bugged. Andie, you were really thoughtful with your comments and am glad you managed to sit through it all and handle with such grace.
