First bit of evidence: I am Spring cleaning the house. (The entire pantry was testament to an unfulfilled expectation that I would be cooking lots of soups with legumes over Winter). Second bit of evidence: the garden is blossoming.
One evening last week my friend and her son came over and cooked us dinner. Oh, I adore her.
More evidence that this place thinks it is Spring? My hens are laying multitudes of eggs and I am not a huge egg-eater so I am baking very rich flour-less cakes to use up all the extra eggs. Right, you should be visiting me.
Wish I was there. Still coldish my way. But not really as cold as August normally is. My chookies either are not laying or something is eating the eggs.
I want to visit you to admire your art 🙂
I’d be happy to visit and eat your cakes and admire your garden! It’d be much easier now since I’ve just moved from Sydney to Brisbane and hence, am soaking up this spring weather!! I haven’t worn long pants or a jumper in weeks 🙂
Gorgeous flowers. I like knowing that it is spring(ish) somewhere. Here in the Northeast U.S., the cool, Septemberish days and evenings first arrive in August. I love it, though it’s bittersweet.
