Not only are we celebrating chocolate this weekend.. we’re also celebrating Lauca’s third birthday a bit early. A stupid idea that we seemed to have pulled off.
Her birthday fiesta was everything she wanted, including (a particularly aesthetically displeasing) rainbow cake. (Not quite the adorable pastoral scene I created for her first birthday cake, but sadly it is not about meee). Lauca was sufficiently delighted by her party to overlook the breaking of some of her ‘rules’ – so Happy Birthday was sung to her after all, and guests were permitted to hit her piñata.
Because I’m a super hostess I also made a big jug of cocktail slushie for the adults. Children’s parties are best endured tipsy.
Then on Easter morning, a civilized morning tea at my mother’s..
And Lauca caught chooks.
