I received a request to plug this research study on LGBT parents and so here goes. You know you love to fill out surveys, come on, you love it.

Australia’s first major study into lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans parenting is now under way!

Titled “Work, Love and Play in Diverse Family Life”, it looks at how lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans parents are handling their parenting and household responsibilities, as well as relations with extended family and the broader community.

While the research is being funded by La Trobe University in Melbourne, it seeks to involve families from all over Australia and New Zealand. Researchers are keen for any lesbian, gay, bisexual or trans (LGBT) people who are actively parenting a child or children under the age of 18 (this includes foster parents, step parents, grandparents, relatives and others who are primary carers of children) to complete the questionnaire.

If you have friends, family members or colleagues you think might be interested please pass this link on to them.

This is a great opportunity to find out about the positive aspects of everyday family life in our LGBT communities, and whether our families are getting the support they need.
